Honest lifespans by base type, what shortens them, and how to know when it's time to reorder.

Typical lifespans
With proper care: ultra-thin poly systems last 2–4 months of daily wear, French lace 3–6 months, and monofilament 6–12 months. These ranges assume daily attachment; wearers who rotate two systems roughly double each one's calendar life.
What shortens a system's life
Chlorine, high heat, alcohol-heavy products and aggressive brushing degrade both hair and base. The single biggest factor is adhesive residue left to build up — clean bonds gently and completely at every re-attachment.
When to reorder
Reorder when the base begins to lift at the edges after fresh bonds, when hair shed leaves visible low-density patches, or when the front no longer sits flush. Most Follic customers keep a second system in rotation so there's never a gap.
